The Five Elements in BTB Feng Shui
In BTB Feng Shui, the Five Elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water, are essential tools for creating balance and harmony in a space. Each element carries its own qualities, colors, and shapes, and when they work together, they create environments that feel vibrant, supportive, and aligned with our lives.
Here’s a simple guide to each element:
Wood: Growth, vitality, and new beginnings. Represented by plants, vertical shapes, and colors like green and teal.
Fire: Passion, recognition, and inspiration. Found in candles, lighting, triangular shapes, and bold colors like red and orange.
Earth: Stability, nourishment, and grounding. Expressed through ceramics, square shapes, and earthy tones like beige, yellow, or terracotta.
Metal: Clarity, focus, and precision. Shown through round shapes, metallic finishes, and colors like white, gray, and gold.
Water: Flow, career, and wisdom. Represented by fountains, mirrors, wavy shapes, and dark tones like navy or black.
When one element is missing or present in excess, the space can feel “off.” By bringing the Five Elements into balance, we create environments that support our intentions, whether that’s rest, productivity, creativity, or connection.
Feng Shui is less about “rules” and more about finding harmony. The Five Elements give us a flexible framework to do just that.
